I overhauled the management information systems for this corporate language training provider, helping their staff to acheive significant productivity improvements by reducing the amount of time spent on data entry and administration.

They had been using a series of linked spreadsheets to keep track of courses, materials, invoices and wages. I designed a database-driven web application using PHP, MySQL and JavaScript to integrate the systems. This project made use of the Yahoo User Interface library for table data and calendar form inputs.

Retaining the existing reporting format was important for the client, so the system includes CSV output functionality and VBA macros to provide a familiar report format.

The system also offers automated document generation, which allows end users to produce contracts and associated paperwork in seconds rather than minutes. This has also enabled the company to reduce the amount of document storage required.
